How customers opt in to our SMS notifications
Last updated: June 1, 2026 · Published for messaging-program verification
All SMS consent for Anthony's Leather & Shoe Repair is collected in person, at our
storefront, at the time a customer drops off an item for repair. We do not collect SMS
consent online, through web forms, through purchased lists, or through any third party. This page
documents our opt-in process and provides verifiable evidence of how consent is obtained.
The opt-in process, step by step
- The customer brings an item to our counter to be repaired.
- A staff member creates a repair ticket in our Point-of-Sale system and asks the customer for
a mobile number to send order-status notifications.
- The staff member states that the customer will receive automated SMS about their order status
(ready-for-pickup notifications), that message frequency is typically 1–2 messages per order,
that message and data rates may apply, and that they can reply STOP to opt out at any time.
- The customer affirmatively agrees and initials the SMS consent line on the printed claim slip.
Staff enter the number only after this agreement.
- The opt-in is recorded in our POS as a consent flag (smsOptIn = true) with a timestamp and the
staff member who collected it.
- The customer keeps a printed claim slip summarizing the SMS program with links to our
SMS Terms and Privacy Policy.
